The rain on Saturday did not stop the youth of Nkobongo Township from taking part in the championship finals of Nkobongo Club Development sponsored by the department of sport and recreation.
The most eye catching game was the soccer final between Bayern and PSG, which was won by Bayern by 4-0.
Competitors also competed in volleyball, netball, rugby and basketball, and all the winning teams will represent Nkobongo on September 19.
They will join teams from Macambini, KwaMaqumbi and Deda to compete at the district championship that will be held at the Nkobongo Sport Ground.
Representative from the department of sport and recreation, Sakha Mhlongo, thanked the business people of Nkobongo for sponsoring the children with food.
Mdu Tonny donated oranges for players and Ayobonga Maqhiyane and Sihle Mthiyane donated a sheep, the makings of a delicious lunch.
