Brett powers on to National title

Ballito’s enduro rider Brett Swanepoel continued his winning ways as he secured the OR3 South African national off-road title for 2015 by winning round six in Worcester in the Western Cape last weekend.

Swanepoel, riding his Proudly Bidvest Yamaha, has had a remarkable year, claiming top results in both local and international races. Apart from his latest SA OR 3 title, he also achieved a second place in the SA E1 national enduro, won the the KZN cross country championships, finished tenth in the 2015 Romaniacs and received a gold medal in the international six day enduro in Slovakia.

The rider’s next big challenge will be competing in the world renowned Roof of Africa taking place in the mountains of Lesotho early in December. Brett will look to emulate or improve on his second place finish in this race in 2014.
