Sizzling summer surfing

Get your entry in for the popular Lizzard Hurricane surf competition.

Entries for the annual Lizzard Hurricane Summer Surf competition is now officially open. Kicking off the Just Juice Umhlanga Summer Festival 2015, the popular event again promises to be a highlight on the Festival’s programme that runs from December 12-23.

Top surfing talent will once more converge on Umhlanga main beach to compete for their share of prizes worth over R50 000.

Casey Grant (25) took the victory in 2014 and is hard at work preparing to defend his title. Casey, a multiple SA surf champion and runner-up in the Ballito Pro is excited about the prospect of returning to Umhlanga. “The Lizzard Hurricane is one of my favourite contests on the calendar. It is always chilled and you can feel the fun summer vibes on the beach with all the holiday makers around,” he said.

For more details you can contact Wave Wizards club chairman Jestyn Viljoen on 079 500 3945 or email Julie de Vries on juliedev@mweb.co.za for an entry form.
