Golfers deliver charity triumph

The team of Francois Vermaak, Dan Martin and Dave Watson claimed first prize this year on 90 points.

Golfers managed some strong scores despite poor weather at the annual Ballito Open golf competition.

Hosted at Umhlali Country Club on December 28 and organised by Malcolm and Michelle Mann, the event served as a fundraiser for The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund.

An almost full field of golfers braved occasionally torrential rain in support of the cause and earned every drop of post-round refreshments on offer.
