Dolphin Coast Striders honour first ‘Legends’

The Ballito running club memorialises four athletes on new 'Club Legends' board.

With more than 100 Comrades Marathons and countless other running accolades between them, the first four Dolphin Coast Striders ‘Legends’ are appropriately named.

Barry Holland, Colin Goosen, Harry Botha and Shannon Clark were memorialised on a new ‘Club Legends’ board at the Striders’ clubhouse last Thursday.

They were hand-selected by club members and had to fulfill a list of criteria in order to be added to the board.

There are no specific races or events that need to be completed, but rather the board aims to reflect a person’s impact on the sport of running and dedication to the Striders.

Suffice to say, the quartet not only met but exceeded the criteria.

They were congratulated by a packed clubhouse of Striders on club night after the weekly Thursday evening time trial.
