Tongaat Panthers Hope Walk honours mothers

The club's hope walks take place every Sunday morning.

Mothers were celebrated with tea, gifts and heartfelt appreciation during the Tongaat Panthers Athletic Club Community Hope Challenge last weekend, transforming the weekly walk into a special Mother’s Day-inspired gathering.

While the women completed the route, men prepared refreshments and surprise gifts at the start venue, creating a festive community atmosphere. Chairperson Lajeeth Maharaj said the initiative aims to promote both fitness and social connection, with support from Mzansi Health and Wellness and Multi Parts through vouchers, tonics and gifts.

The weekly walks continue at 6.30am, with the next event taking place at Mitchford Primary School on Sunday, May 24.
