In just five months, a book was written, edited and published.
Destined to Rise was written by Nkosinathi Mbuyisa (31) from Ntshawini.
Mbuyisa had a very challenging life and decided to share his story with the world.
“My mother used to sell fruit and vegetables to make a living. That is when I learnt that no matter how small your business is, you can live off it,” said Mbuyisa
He lost his parents at a very young age and the pain of growing up alone, was one of his reasons for writing the book.
“When I wrote this book I did not want people to know about my life but I wanted to motivate others. No matter what happens, take it as part of the journey to your success,” said Mbuyisa.
Destined to Rise has eight chapters, all about keeping your head up and not letting obstacles stand in the way of your success.
Mbuyisa matriculated from Stanger ML Sultan Secondary School and graduated with a hospitality management certificate from the University of Johannesburg. He had wanted to be a business man, but remained in hospitality for the past seven years.
“I have learnt a lot from the industry. I learnt to be patient because everything in my life is part of the journey to my dream,” said Mbuyisa.
He is currently busy with his second book and expects it to be published next year.
