Flowing wine and awesome food

A good time, on tap

What could be better than a chilled glass of wine on a fabulously warm Saturday afternoon?

Easy. Another glass of wine. And another. And another.

The Diemersfontein Pinotage On Tap wine festival returned to The Litchi Orchard for the third time on Saturday, offering an umlimited supply of coffee chocolate pinotage and an abundance of outrageously tasty meals and desserts.

This marked the tenth anniversary of the festival, recently voted ‘Best Wine Event in the World’.

Guests relaxed under the shade of huge litchi trees while listening to the smooth sounds of Redlight Stereo and Daniel Baron.

John Jones, who was manning one of the many barrels, said the weather made the event world-class.

“At the end of the day my barrel and the wine left in it was sold to a gentleman from Richard’s Bay for R1000. Not bad, hey?”
