Visitors to the Christmas Country Fair at Collisheen Estate, Ballito on October 29 and 30 can look forward to a real treat.
Vivacious Masterchef SA contestant and local celebrity chef Joani Mitchell will demonstrate fabulous new ideas for preparing a Christmas feast. Joani will put her own unique spin on both a traditional and coastal Christmas menu. Christmas table décor ideas will also be demonstrated.
Joani was one of the top 10 contestants in last year’s Masterchef competition, and since then her life has been a roller coaster ride. A fashion designer by trade, she regards cooking as just a different outlet for her artistic spirit. She successfully juggles a household which includes six young Sharks rugby players, with numerous public appearances and catering for up to three functions a weekend. And she insists that she is “having the time of her life”.
Seating for Joani’s cooking demonstrations at the Country Fair is limited, so pre-bookings are essential.
Contact Michelle on michelle@thechristmasfairfund.co.za to reserve a seat at R300 per person. This includes the entrance fee, tea, snacks and a Christmas Fair Fund shopping bag.
The Country Fair is the main fundraising event this year of the charity fundraising organisation, the Christmas Fair Fund. Entrance tickets at R50 per person are available from One of a Kind at Burnedale (Umhlali), Bliss Divine (Ballito Bay Mall) and Kathrin Kidger’s shop at La Lucia Mall.
All proceeds will be donated to charitable organisations on the North Coast, supported by the Christmas Fair Fund.
WIN!
To win two tickets to the Christmas cooking demonstration by Joani Mitchell, share the Christmas Fair Fund’s poster for the Country Fair on the Christmas Fair Fund Facebook page. Ten entry tickets to the Fair are also up for grabs. The most “shares” will win the prizes. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, October 28.
