Masterchef contestant Joanie Mitchell impressed a packed out crowd with her vivacious personality and cooking talent on both days of the Christmas Country Fair last week.
Mitchell prepared a Christmas feast, with her own twist, making dishes that would be sure to delight and impress any guests.
The meal began with eggnog with champagne, and delicate prawn rissoles, and cranberry and camembert rissoles. This was followed by a codfish stack starter and for mains a turkey wellington with cranberry Jus and a delicious turkey stuffing. The meal was capped off with an incredibly tasty Stolen, done Joanie’s way.
She taught the audience simple tricks to make complicated dishes easy and entertained with tales from her cooking adventures.
