Christmas Fair exceeds all expectations

Food and craft enjoyed by all locals in support of charity.

Handcrafted nativity sets, handbags, jewellery, Christmas decor, tarts, jams and gifts galore made the Christmas Country Fair a major attraction on the Dolphin Coast last week.

The Christmas Fair Fund outdid themselves this year with over 90 exhibitors coming from far and wide for the two-day annual event.

More than 2200 people flocked to the fair, with the proceeds from the enterance tickets and a percentage of the exhibitors takings to go to local charities.

While the final figure has yet to be tallied up Christmas Fund member Elaine Philipson said the fair had already exceeded expectations.

“We were blown away by the support from the community, making this our best fair yet,” said Philipson.

You can find out more about the fund on their Facebook page: The Christmas Fair Fund or call Mariella Kayat 083 268 3884.
