Holiday festivities on the Dolphin Coast

Fun-filled December on our shores.

The holidays are here for some of us and even if you still have a few weeks left of work, you can look forward to some great entertainment happening on our shores.

Tonight, December 5 the Litchi Orchard will host a carols by candlelight and picnic together with Christ Church North Coast and is sure to be a blessed evening. Bring the whole family, while the kids activities start at 5pm and the nativity will kick off at6:30pm.

On December 13 the Litchi Orchard will have their Christmas edition market and will be the perfect place to buy those last minute Christmas gifts.

If you’re in Westbrook, don’t miss out on the Christmas market on December 14 at 1pm and a carol service at 6pm.

The Maynards Beach Festival with East Coast Radio is back, promising a good time for everyone in Margate, Durban and Ballito.

The fun kicks off in Margate on 19 and 20 December 2014, before moving to uShaka Beach on 21 and 22 December 2014 and wrapping up in Ballito on 23 and 24 December 2014 with two days of adrenalin-filled fun in the sun.

You can meet your favourite ECR presenters during the live broadcasts, take part in one of the many beach activities and stand a chance to win some fabulous prizes.

The days kick off with some touch rugby and a sandcastle building contest for the little ones.

Try your skills at beach volleyball, race in the beach dash or have a go at Frisbee darts.

Slap on your sunscreen, grab your buddies and head on down to one of three beaches – or all three! – for some action-packed fun in the sun with the Maynards Beach Festival with East Coast Radio.

Then if you are in Umhlanga. the Summer Festival kicks off on December 13 with the Lizzard Summer Surf Competition.

On Sunday December 14 Jockey hosts a trail run with 5km, 12km and 18km distances.

The train run/walk starts at 6am at the Millennium Stage Umhlanga Promenade (Main beach) and will be the perfect family outing before you pack on those calories at the Christmas table!

From December 14 tot December 23 Just Juice will be hosting some beach soccer, volleyball, dance and games and beach olympics so make sure you don’t miss out on all those funtivities.
