Where to party on New Year’s
Get your dancing shoes on and make sure you don't miss out on these New Year's Eve parties.
There’s no excuse not to have plans for New Year’s and if you are stressing about where to go and what to do this year, then here’s the lowdown on what’s happening on the party scene locally.
Celebrating its 10 year anniversary, the Ballito New Year’s Eve street party promises to be the biggest, loudest and most illuminating party on the North Coast.
Ballito will be lighting up with neon colours, bashing sounds and epic dance floors.
The deal is that you must pitch up wearing bright, neon clothing and accessories to illuminate the night and one extreme aerial shot will be captured with the thousands of party goers dancing into 2015.
It takes place in the street on Sandra Road, Ballito and Crush Night Club with doors opening at 6pm and the party only officially stops at 5am.
With a banging line-up of DJ’s including Veranda Panda, Flash Republic, DJ Fresh and Pascal & Pearce, the international DJ duo GLOWINTHEDARK from the Netherlands will welcome 2015 with their world class beats.
Tickets range from R300 to R520 for regular or VIP and are only available online.
The Litchi Orchard is hosting their own School Daze new year’s party.
It will be an old school affair with an 80’s and 90’s theme.
So get those leg warmers, sweat bands and neon vests out of the closet and rock up in your best old school look.
Gates open at 5pm and R220 gets you in with four bands and one DJ to rock the night.
Tickets are available at Webtickets here.
If you want to party on the beach, then why not do it at Beach Bums in Westbrook.
Ready D and other top South African DJ’s will be making the tunes while you and your mates cruise into the new year dressed in all white attire.
Tickets will cost you R250 but you better get yours quickly as this venue is pretty much packed every single day.
Just imagine seeing the sun come up over the ocean after an exhilarating night at this beach bar spot.
If you are leaning more towards Umhlanga then the Ibiza World Tour can not be missed.
When it comes to electro and house music DJ’s, only the best play in one of the most famous clubs on Ibiza and eight of the 10 DJ’s on the Ibiza World Tour are coming to SA in December. If dancing for 12 hours straight is your thing then head to Computicket now to get your tickets because it’s selling out fast.
Coming at you from all over the world are some of the hottest Tomorrowland and Ibiza DJ’s including Klingande and Michael Calfan from France, Peyton “Ibiza Resident” from the USA, Nigel Stately from Hungary, Dennis Kruissen from Netherlands, Kool & Kabul from Germany and C Delgado from Belgium.
This is all going down at the Wavehouse in Gateway from 3pm to 2am.
The damage will be R540 for general access and R1800 for limited VIP tickets.
