Do you have what it takes to be a recording artist?

Do you think you have what it takes to be a recording artist?

If the answer is yes, you need to enter the Vezikhono Talent Search, which will be running over two days and is presented by the Ilembe District Municipality in partnership with KZN Music House.

KZN Music House is a recording company with a marketing, distribution and resource centre funded by the department of economic development and tourism and the department of arts and culture.

All entrants have to be between the ages of 18 and 35 and have to reside in Maphumulo or Mandeni.

You can either enter as a solo artist, part of a group, duo or choir.

The programme is scheduled to take place as follows: Maphumulo municipality, March 2-3 at the Maphumulo Town Hall and Mandeni municipality, March 4-5 at the Sibusisiwe Hall.

The programme will include a workshop and auditions and the winners will be given an opportunity to record three songs which will be mixed and mastered at the KZN Music House studios in Durban.

The winner’s package also includes a professional photo shoot and the designing of a CD sleeve.

Winners will then be given the CD’s to submit to radio stations for airplay, promoters and recording companies.
