Jazzy ladies with toe-tapping tunes
Don't miss out on Heels over Head coming to jazz up Groutville.
The all-female jazz/pop band Heels over Head from Durban will be visiting the Luthuli Museum in Groutville for two performances on April 17.
The band will be at Luthuli Museum during the day to facilitate a schools programme for school pupils and in the evening the museum opens its doors for a special performance.
With their music, referred to as smooth jazz or easy-breezy pop jazz, Heels over Head has developed a notable and clever signature sound that consists of current African-influenced music and uniquely re-arranged standards.
The band is known for getting the audience on their feet to dance to their rhythmic bass lines and their cheerful melodies.
Heels over Head lead vocalists Thulile Zama and Nomkhosi Mazibuko are joined by skilled drummer Rebekah Doty, accomplished pianist Mandy Cobbing and the smoking hot guitarist Chillie Wardell-Stent.
Doors open at 6pm and entrance is R20.
