Majozi rocks out at Splashy Fen

Salt Rock artist represents at popular music festival.

Rocking out in the majestic mountains of Underberg, Salt Rock’s Majozi introduced the sounds of his latest EP, aptly titled Mountains, to the crowd at the Splashy Fen music festival this weekend.

“It is my first Splashy and it was awesome. There was a great turnout so that was pretty good,” said Majozi.

A relaxed vibe and a bit of sunshine on Saturday made the festival-goers dance and swing to Majozi’s folk tunes, like The River and Someday.

“The EP is doing well, we will just keep on pushing it and hopefully it will do great,” he said.

Majozi said he has put a lot of work into the making of Mountains and urges everyone to go and buy it.

“My favourite song on the EP is Darling, just because it has a lot of myself in the song. I did not realise it when I was writing it, but now I can hear how much I put into that song from where I was at that time.”

His latest single, Fire, has been gaining some traction on 5FM and fans can expect another music video soon.

“I have been working with Tim Hay from Ballito with my music videos so keep an eye out for the next one!”

You can catch Majozi live at Ciao Bella in Durban on April 24.
