Wine not!

Diemersfontein's Pinotage on Tap warms up the hearts at the Litchi Orchard.

Durbanites are very casual when it comes to attending events, but on Saturday they rocked up with their coats and boots despite the rainy weather, because there was free-flowing pinotage on offer!

Voted the best wine event in the world by Drinks International, Pinotage On Tap needs no introduction. With four barrels of Diemersfontein’s beloved pinotage flown in from Cape Town, nothing would have stopped wine lovers from getting to the Litchi Orchard and having a taste.

North Coast foodies set up their stalls and the aroma of fresh, warm deliciousness filled the tents where everyone huddled for warmth and cover from the rain. Former Salt Rock muso Majozi kicked things off with his charm and acoustic sounds, even getting a few people to their feet to bounce to the beat.

Dessert made its way through with more wine while Crash Car Burn took to the stage. When the day had wasted away everyone called on their designated drivers and taxi chauffeurs and set a reminder on their phones for next year’s Pinotage On Tap.
