#WeekendEvents: Gear up for a super, sunny weekend on the Coast

The sun is shining and it's the perfect weekend to enjoy all that the beautiful North Coast has to offer! Here is your events and entertainment guide!

Friday, October 6

  • Enjoy live music at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre this weekend. Visit their Facebook page for times.

  • A pet food drive will take place outside SuperSpar at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre from 1 – 7 October. All donations will be handed over to the SPCA.

Saturday, October 7

  • The Ballito Lifestyle Centre’s Foodies Market is on the first Saturday of every month from 8am to 12pm. The market supports local produce, focusing on providing fresh, organic and artisan products.
  • Westbrook Retirement Village invites residents to their Saturday Car Boot Sale between 7am and 12pm. Browse through second hand goodies and find a bargain!
  • Sip on cocktails next to the pool, enjoy old school family games on the field and snack on festive market food at the Salt Rock Country Club KidsFest. Zorb balls, face painting, Laser Tag, go karting, jumping castles and Kelly’s Kitchen’s DIY cupcakes will keep the kids entertained on the field while moms get pampered at There She Glows beauty bar, enjoy pancakes and Holy Cow Coffee or simply relax at the Hawaiian pool party. Tickets are available at the door – entrance costs R30 and kids under five enter for free. The fun starts at 9am till 4pm. For more details click HERE.

  • Back the Boks at Bok Town at Sugar Rush Park as they take on the All Blacks in the Rugby Championship. Kick off is at 5.05pm Live on the HD Big screen. Gates open at 3pm. Various food offerings as well as a beer garden and rum bar available. Half time analysis and Q&A with former Springboks player, Butch James. Tickets are R30 per person.

Sunday, October 8

  • Enjoy live music at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre this weekend. The Market: Drew Hort from 10.30am – 12.30pm and Winston Smile from 12.30pm – 3.30pm. Eat Street: The Kickstands from 2pm – 4pm.

  • Head down to La Piazza for three hours of juggling, comedy, magic, balloon twisting with Tom the Clown and face painting with Sparkles the fairy from 12pm to 3pm! For more details call 032 586 3565.
