  • With a black belt in Wudang Kung Fu and a passion for the power of Tai Chi, Matthew Pickles will be teaching these ancient movements at sunrise sessions at Willard Beach. First class is from 6.30am to 7.30am. Your first class is free, thereafter it is R100 a lesson. For more information, contact Pickles at 084 555 5944.
  • Every Saturday morning Forest Hills German Shepherd Club Ballito holds dog training for all breeds at Townsend park, Ballito. Times are as follows: 7:50am advanced; 8.30am beginners. Contact chairperson Gaby Lyle on 082 925 6481.

  • Head down to the Litchi Orchard for the Makers Market. A feast of local produce and creativity will be on show. Live entertainment sets the mood and crafts are also on sale. Fun for the whole family! Contact The Litchi Orchard at 032-5255118. Entry is free.

  • Don’t miss the North Coast Artists meeting at St Luke’s Church Hall at 8.45am for 9am. Local artist, Lara de Jager, will demonstrate acrylic pouring. The entrance fee is R40 which includes refreshments.
  • The Dolphin Coast community has been called to action to help a family’s desperate fund-raising mission for their five-year-old daughter, Ariella Cocorozis who was recently diagnosed with a rare and fatal tumour. Get involved by buying your tickets to the stunning three-course dinner including entertainment and a chance to win amazing prizes at La Piazza, Ballito on Saturday, November 10 at 6pm.   • Head down to the exciting new Blythedale Coastal Adventure Market at the Blythedale Event Bowl every Sunday. This market is the first ever fresh produce market with adventure activities on site and will also include live music from top artists. The longest slippery slide in KZN is one of the main attractions. Anything from fresh fish, locally sourced regional produce and artisan food will be available. On the adventurous side, challenge your friends with a capture the flag paintball game or a game of laser tag. Open every Sunday from 10am – 4pm.
