#WeekendEvents: Christmas markets by the dozen!

Planning your weekend? Tick Christmas shopping off the list with an abundance of Christmas markets to choose from.

Here is your events and entertainment guide!

Friday, November 30

  • Enjoy live music at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre. The Market: Dean and Durango from 6pm – 9pm. Eat Street: Cameron Lane from 6pm – 9pm.

Saturday, December 1

  • Get a head start on your Christmas shopping while enjoying a morning of family fun at the upcoming Christmas Craft Market. Hosted at the Lion’s Scout hall at Townsend Park from 8am – 2pm on December 1, enjoy lots of crafts, gifts and food to welcome the festive season.
  • The Dolphin Coast SPCA’s charity shop, The Dog Box, will be hosting a Christmas Market from 9am – 11.30am. Find Christmas decorations, gifts, kitchenware, soft toys, books and more!

  • Head down to the Salt Rock Country Club for the Christmas KidsFest! Enjoy a day of family fun and entertainment from 11am – 4pm. From a Christmas market, pics with Santa and an obstacle course, to a slip ‘n slide, swimming and loads more. R30 for adults, 5 years and up.
  • Make your way to the Stanger Methodist Church for their Christmas fete, in aid of raising funds to support the ministry and mission of the church. Food stalls, shisa nyama, kids play area, photo booth, jumble sale and more. From 7am – 2pm.

  • Don’t miss the Christmas market at Sage Centre. Shop from local makers and creators of gorgeous Christmas goodies while sipping on craft gin or beer and listening to live music. From 9am – 3pm.
  • Sunfield Home School will host their annual open/fun day at 9am. You can look forward to jumping castles, Plan B Dessertery, water slides, face painting and a craft market.
  • Enjoy live music at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre. The Market: Ucee Jazz Ensemble from 10.30am – 12.30pm, Faye and Wren from 1pm – 4pm and Gavin Ferguson from 4.30pm – 7.30pm. Eat Street: Chloe Clarke Band from 2pm – 5pm and Pandalore from 6pm – 9pm.

Sunday, December 2

  • Enjoy live music at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre. The Market: Drew Hort from 10.30am – 12.30pm and Winston Smile from 12.30pm – 3.30pm. Eat Street: Rowan Stuart from 2pm – 4pm.
  • Head down to the exciting new Blythedale Coastal Adventure Market at the Blythedale Event Bowl every Sunday. This market is the first ever fresh produce market with adventure activities on site and will also include live music from top artists. The longest slippery slide in KZN is one of the main attractions. Anything from fresh fish, locally sourced regional produce and artisan food will be available. On the adventurous side, challenge your friends with a capture the flag paintball game or a game of laser tag. Open every Sunday from 10am – 4pm.
