Exciting changes are coming to The Market

The new menu, developed in consultation with the Delish Sisters, Rebecca and Kate Lund, is colourful, vibrant and delicious, predominantly gluten free, refined sugar free and made from fresh, wholesome ingredients.

Two years after the launch of The Market, which helped reinvent Ballito’s Lifestyle Centre, exciting changes and additions are in store for the local centre.

This was confirmed by the Centre management team who said that Ballito customers could expect some exciting new retail and restaurant offerings in the next six weeks.

Trappers will enjoy a new position next to Sportsman’s Warehouse, with a new store layout and design, while the new Milady’s will be open for trade in mid-November. Located next to Ackerman’s, the new store will add to the mix that already incorporates a number of boutique clothing outlets.

Top surf brand O’Neill will also be opening its doors at the end of November in the store previously occupied by Trappers.

A number of changes are already underway in The Market.

The Tree Natural Café site currently under construction will reopen in mid-November with a new street food offering, Hungry Donkey. With a quirky fusion of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Asian influences their simple, quick and delicious street food will include wraps, kebabs and stir-fries, all freshly prepared with delicious ingredients and amazing flavours.

The Juice Kitchen will exit and move to their new Ballito premises at The Well at the end of October, at which time the existing space will be redeveloped to accommodate Tree, to reopen in early December.

The core focus of Tree will remain healthy, nutritious meals, but the menu is undergoing an extensive overhaul. The retail component of FISH will also be redeveloped into an Oyster and Champagne Bar, offering further choice to patrons of The Market.

A few changes are also afoot on Eat Street. Alchemy Bar’s extension into the space previously occupied by Loaf Café is due to be completed by early November and will offer customers a new space in which to enjoy their craft drinks, cocktails and wine selection.

Attikos, a casual, relaxed and stylish Greek restaurant, will open at the entrance to Eat Street at the site previously occupied by Mythos at the end of November. Inspired by the Mediterranean way of life and the pleasures of eating together, local Ballito couple Christos and Tracy Konahos will serve up authentic dishes with generous Greek hospitality in celebration of their rich culture.

Lifestyle Centre owner Bruce Rencken said: “We have been on this journey for two and a half years now and it has been amazing how Ballito has embraced our vision, exceeding our expectations time and time again. It’s really exciting that these further changes will offer local customers and holidaymakers alike more great reasons to visit Lifestyle Centre and experience life, the Ballito way.”
