Some relief on the fuel price may be on the cards
The data currently shows petrol lower by between 26 and 36 cents a litre, but diesel dropping by a whopping 88 cents.

The Automobile Association (AA), in its latest prediction on the fuel price, stated that as a result of the strengthening of the rand against the dollar, consumers may well benefit from a reduction in the fuel price.
“The data currently shows petrol lower by between 26 and 36 cents a litre, but diesel dropping by a whopping 88 cents, with illuminating paraffin also showing a healthy 83-cent drop,” the association notes. It does, however, caution that oil demands will see-saw and that the coming northern hemisphere winter, might increase demand for refined fuel oils, inclusive of diesel.
