7 of the top watering holes on the North Coast
Each of these popular venues has a signature drink - this is your exclusive sneak-peak.

The North Coast is the place to be, with its glorious beaches, wonderful sunsets and year-round amazing weather.
But when the day comes to an end, and you’re ready to end it off on a celebratory note you may like to do so with a sundowner.
The Courier visited 7 of the top watering holes and we asked them for their signature drink.
Without further ado, and of course in no particular order:
1. Alchemy Bar

Add some fizz to your summer with something known only to locals.
This off-menu cocktail served at Alchemy always sees guests order a second round.
Named Summer Fizz, the cocktail contains a double shot of Blackstrap GINSALA, Alchemy’s in-house hand-crafted, North Coast inspired gin.
A single shot of fresh pineapple juice is then shaken on ice, a glass is filled with either soda or lemonade and topped off with the shaken juice and remaining juice.
Alchemy is located at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre. Cost: R70.

2. Sunset Bar

But one signature drink stands out from the rest.
Enter Coronarita, hailed as the perfect drink for summer days.
With a mix of fresh pineapple juice, lemon juice, lime infused tequila, a dash of triple sec and sweetened lime syrup, this is blended together and topped off with the Mexican gold standard, Corona beer.

6. Siggi’s German Restaurant

Well, we may have no idea where that is, but we do know where you can find some quality authentic German beer, and that is at Siggi’s in Salt Rock.
Sporting the Erdinger Beer range, five different varieties of Erdinger Weiss are on offer.
