Toyota to take designing to new frontiers

Toyota’s European Design Studio ED² has come up with a new design for what it believes will become the A-segment for European customers.

“With the Aygo X prologue, I believe we’ve demonstrated that a small car can still be big and bold in personality,” said Ken Billes, assistant chief designer, ED².

The Aygo has always demonstrated youth and playfulness. “Now, we’ve added to its DNA an additional pinch of hot spice,” said Lance Scott, design director, ED². “It will appeal to the style-conscious. It is ready for tomorrow’s free spirits.”

The Aygo X prologue, although exciting, is still a concept vehicle.
