Curro Mount Richmore’s song writer in the making teams up with Mqapheli and Emza

Evangelist and author, Sihle's mother Zamangwane Thabethe believes Sihle will go on to inspire the youth through her talent - especially armed with an amazing attitude.

Curro Mount Richmore pupil and Ballito local Siphesihle Mabizela has teamed up with gospel singer Mqapheli and Kwaito artist, Emza to produce a song which she wrote herself.

While she may be a dancer and performer as well, Sihle – as she is fondly called at school – put pen to paper and wrote the 5-minute gospel anthem titled ‘Bonga’ which has been produced by DJ Costah Dolla in the song Sihle wrote about gratitude and giving thanks to God.

Evangelist and author, Sihle’s mother Zamangwane Thabethe believes Sihle will go on to inspire the youth through her talent – especially armed with an amazing attitude.

A grade 7 pupil, Sihle said that music had always been her passion, and her mother also inspired her to compose.

“I used to sing while in the shower, or washing dishes. I don’t have a great voice,” said the humble Sihle.

While she enjoys writing songs, her dream is to one day become a movie director and work behind the scenes.

“That’s what I enjoy doing. I’ve done a few already with family and they’ve turned out quite well.”

Sihle has her own YouTube channel called ‘Teen Struggle’. Through the channel Sihle aims to help children suffering from depression.

“Sihle is a great asset to our school,” said Curro Mount Richmore executive head, Bryn Thomas.
