1 December – Buckenham 4×4 celebrates the opening of its new store at the corner of Barbet Street and Hawk Road, Imbonini Industrial Park. Prizes to be won.

First Thursdays at The Studios with late night shopping until 8pm. Exhibition at The Gallery, wine and gin tasting with live music by Afritude from 5.30-8.30pm.

1-4 December – Musical comedy titled Classical Comedy at Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre. Tickets from R200, available at Computicket.

2 December – Dave Starke performs at The Market from 6-9pm, Hale Mary at Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm with big screen rugby (Sharks vs Ospreys) at The Market from 7pm.

7 December – Umhlali and District Garden and Flower Club special year-end meeting at All Souls Anglican Church, Sheffield Beach. Talk by Gerald Schofield on ‘making gardening fun again’. 16 December – Night Market at the Litchi Orchard, Salt Rock, from 4-9pm.

16-17 December – Schweppes Durban Gin Festival at the Sun Park area, Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom. Tickets from R220 per person, available at www.howler.co.za. Complimentary gin cocktail on arrival.

23 December – Carols by Candlelight at the Litchi Orchard from 4-9pm.
