From activities fit for the whole family to those you can hit up on your own, the North Coast has it all!

Whether you find live concerts or joining a local community organisation more to your fancy is completely up to you, but rest assured that with The North Coast Courier’s What’s Up On the North Coast events diary your chances of missing an event are pretty much zero.

20 January – North Coast Bridge Club launch at Simbithi Country Club at 10am. Introductory bridge followed by tea – all players welcome. RSVP with Kitty Phillips at 083 455 6275.

21 January – Acrylic floral workshop at Artworx Craft Shop, The Quarter, Ballito from 9am-12pm. Entry is R450, includes use of all art supplies. Bookings at angie.artclass@gmail.com or contact 072 225 3116.

25 January – Join The Wednesday Club, a charity organisation which raises funds for worthy causes at the Ballito Library, Compensation Beach Road at 9am. Visitors welcome. Contact Filippa Heyneke at 082 602 4593.

27 January – Sip and paint evening with Minette’s Art at Simbithi Country Club at R300 per person, all painting material included, as is a glass of wine. From 6-8.30pm. Bookings at 063 203 7943.

27-28 January – Enjoy the best of Durban’s comedy scene with Mervin Pillay performing at iZulu Theatre at Sibaya Casino from 8pm. Tickets priced at R120 per person, available at Ticket Pro.

28 January – Kickstart the new year with a morning silent disco beach dance at Four Poles Beach (corner of Hulett Place and Hugh Dent Road). Time: 7-8am. Includes a wireless headset. Stretching, dancing and mindfulness. Adults at R160, kids at R130. Contact Nikita Gouveia at 072 645 0364 to book.

29 January – Boutique Bridal Fair hosted by SA Bridal Fairs at Maroupi Ballito from 10am-2pm. Live music, gin bar and some of KZN’s top wedding suppliers and vendors. Tickets priced at R50 per person. More details at sabridalfairs.co.za.

1 February – Umhlali and District Garden and Flower Club meeting at All Souls Anglican Church, Sheffield Beach Road with talk by Chris Dalzel, previous curator of Durban Botanic Gardens, entitled “ Landscaping : before, during and after” at 9.30am.
