Whether you find live concerts or joining a local community organisation more to your fancy is completely up to you, but rest assured that with The North Coast Courier’s What’s Up On the North Coast events diary your chances of missing an event are pretty much zero.
27 January – Sip and paint evening with Minette’s Art at Simbithi Country Club at R300 per person, all painting material included, as is a glass of wine. From 6-8.30pm. Bookings at 063 203 7943.
27-28 January – Enjoy the best of Durban’s comedy scene with Mervin Pillay performing at iZulu Theatre at Sibaya Casino from 8pm. Tickets priced at R120 per person, available at Ticket Pro.
28 January – Skate Vision presents the Ballito Skate Bowl competition. Entry is free, starting at 11am at the Ballito Skate Bowl. Visit @skatevision17 on Facebook for more information.

29 January – Boutique Bridal Fair hosted by SA Bridal Fairs at Maroupi Ballito from 10am-2pm. Live music, gin bar and some of KZN’s top wedding suppliers and vendors. Tickets priced at R50 per person. More details at sabridalfairs.co.za.
– The Kickstands perform at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm.
1 February – Umhlali and District Garden and Flower Club meeting at All Souls Anglican Church, Sheffield Beach Road with talk by Chris Dalzel, previous curator of Durban Botanic Gardens, entitled ‘Landscaping: before, during and after’ at 9.30am. 6 February – An environmental talk on monkeys, An Insightful Conversation with professor Robert Seyfarth at 6pm, Pavilion Room at Sambithi Eco Estate. Admission is R30 per person, contact environmental@simbithi.com.
