2 February – Opening of new art exhibition titled venUS & eARTh at The Gallery at The Studios, Ballito Lifestyle Centre. The exhibition celebrates connection with the self, community, country and the universe during the month of love. The Gallery is open daily from 9am to 5pm. Contact 072 245 8691.

3 February – The Black Lapels perform at Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

4 February – I Heart Market at Sugar Rush Park from 8.30am to 2pm.

Keith Austen performs at the Market from 12.30-3.30pm.

5 February – The Vintage Barn Ballito monthly car boot sale at Collisheen Estate from 8.30am to 12.30pm. Traders fee of R120. Contact 032 004 0083.

Chuck Bowden performs at the Market from 12.30-3.30pm.

6 February – An environmental talk on monkeys, ‘An Insightful Conversation’ with professor Robert Seyfarth at 6pm, Pavilion Room at Simbithi Eco Estate. Admission is R30 per person. Contact environmental@simbithi.com.

10 February – The Gee Jays perform at The Pumpkin Theatre at La Montagne Hotel, Ballito from 7.30-10.30pm. Tickets available at pumpkintheatre.co.za, from R70 – R150.

22 February – Join The Wednesday Club, a charity organisation which raises funds for worthy causes, at the Ballito Library, Compensation Beach Road at 9am. Visitors welcome. Contact Filippa Heyneke at 082 602 4593.

28 February – iLembe Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism annual general meeting from 2pm at the Chamber’s offices, Unit 14, The Quarter Centre, Ballito. RSVP at ntombifuthi@ilembechamber.co.za.
