NORTHCLIFF HIGH still rules the roost when it comes to athletics, its A-team proved at the co-ed inter-high athletics meeting last month.

Northcliff snapped up top honours for the 17th consecutive year, with 243 points. Fourways took second place with 185 points, with Rand Park and Edenvale trailing behind the leaders with 145 and 113 points respectively.

“We are very proud of this achievement,” said Sharon Dixon, the school's spokesperson. “We remain a school to be reckoned with, both in the classroom and on the track.” Results: Individual race winners – Winnie Ndlovu, Christopher Conroy, Tyson Nyalunga, Ricardo de Abreu, Priscilla Bokoko, Kirsten Beckett, Jurgen Bokoko, Lebo Malunga, Shakeel Omar, Ruth Folarin, Daniel Gyampo, Brandon Donno, Nicholas Anastasopolous and Katlego Mokoena. Team race winners – under-15 boys (1500m), under-17 boys (1500m), under-19 boys (1500m), under-16 girls (relay), under-17 (relay), under-19 girls (relay), under-14 boys (relay), under-15 boys (relay) and under-17 boys (relay).
