Jacaranda’s heavenly sight
JOBURG - Jacaranda trees have painted the town purple in their splendour.
Every summer, a bed of lilac petals wows people’s sights from all views.
This is not a phenomenon, but a natural wonder called the Jacaranda tree.
Jacaranda trees have been in full bloom since the season began and they pave the streets for motorists and pedestrians in various suburbs.
Melville displays a particularly serene scene that complements the coffee shop and restaurant vibe on 7th Street – the heart of the suburb.
Not only do the trees appear aesthetically pleasing, but the trumpet-shaped petals are also believed to contain some sort of good fortune.
“It is said that if you are walking underneath the Jacaranda tree and one of the trumpet blossoms falls on your head you will be favoured by fortune,” according to an article on hellohello.com.au.
Whether you will be writing an exam, going for a job interview or testing for your driver’s licence, standing under a Jacaranda tree might be just the luck you need – if that is your cup of tea.
Good fortune or not, the sight of purple clouds and streets is an absolute pleasure.
