Music on the hill

NORTHCLIFF - Come and enjoy the view at Northcliff Ridge Ecopark with your family, and while you're at it, sit back, indulge in a home-packed picnic lunch and enjoy some music.

The ridge is alive with the sound of music on Saturday, 7 June.

Come and enjoy the view at Northcliff Ridge Ecopark with your family, and while you’re at it, sit back, indulge in a home-packed picnic lunch and enjoy some music. Northcliff High school is hosting ‘Music on the Ridge’ in the Ecopark and the Northcliff High school choir will be serenading visitors. Talented learners from the school will also be performing skits.

The purpose of the event is to raise funds to rehabilitate the park, and Northcliff Ridge Residents Association chairman Murray Hewlitt will be outlining future plans for the park at the event. The ridge offers a magnificent view of the Magaliesburg mountains and Johannesburg itself, and it’s well worth braving the cold to go.

Tickets can be bought at Northcliff High School prior to the event, or at the entrance to the Ecopark on the day. It’s R160 for a family of four or R50 per person. Drinks, snacks and curios will be sold, but pack your own lunch and bring a blanket to snuggle up.

Parking is on Lucky Avenue in Northcliff. Visitors should also note that no glass bottles or glass wares are allowed on the premises.
