Melville’s music festival is back
MELVILLE - This year's Fête de La Musique promises to be a great day out for the entire family.

The Fête de La Musique is a fun and exciting showcase of diverse local (amateur or professional musicians)and international music, celebrated in a safe and inclusive atmosphere that brings communities together in a popular and free event.
Last year’s fête was celebrated by more than 10,000 people and was one of the main events of the French season in South Africa.
Based on last year’s success, the event, supported by a range of sponsors, promises to offer a wider range of music and other activities this year.
As with last year’s event, Melville’s 7th Street will be brought to life with live performance and turned into a pedestrian friendly zone for music-lovers to truly enjoy the live music performances within restaurants and bars and on various stages.
The Fete de la Musique 2014 is brought to you by the Melville Residents Association, the Melville Business Association, the French Institute of South Africa, the Délégation Générale des Alliances Françaises and the Alliance francaise of Johannesburg.
