Hula hooping flash mob takes over The Zone
JOBURG - Zoo Lake may be the place to be on 28 September, with free health consultations from Nestlé nurses and dieticians and fun hula hooping classes for all.

Patrons of The Zone were recently witness to a flash mob of over 40 hula hoop enthusiasts outside the food court.
The event was sponsored by Nestlé South Africa to raise awareness about their upcoming hula hoop Guinness World Record attempt at Zoo Lake on 28 September.
According to Nestle, the goal in September is to break the current Guinness World Record for the longest human chain to pass through a hula hoop which currently stands at 502 participants.
Running a day before World Heart Day, the record-breaking attempt is also aimed at encouraging South Africans to stay fit and healthy through fun activities for the whole family like hula hooping.
“South Africa is one of the top three countries in the world in obesity rankings, after the United States of America and Great Britain,” says Nestlé South Africa wellness manager Naazneen Khan.
“We’re a nation that loves watching sport, but we should be playing more sport ourselves. That’s why Nestlé is encouraging South Africans of all ages – especially our young future leaders – to get active and join Nestlé South Africa for a day out in the sun at Zoo Lake on 28 September.”
If the enthusiasm for the activity at The Zone was anything to go by, Zoo Lake may be the place to be on 28 September 2014. There will be free health consultations with Nestlé nurses and dieticians and fun hula hooping classes for all.
