South Africans hope Bafana Bafana will represent the country well in the AFCON 2015 tournament.
As Bafana Bafana prepares to compete in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations tournament (AFCON) South Africans have mixed emotions on the outcome.
To prepare for this spectacle, Bafana Bafana started training on 2 January.
The team played ten games in preparation and won eight of those while drawing on the other.
But will this winning streak continue in Africa’s biggest soccer competition?
Besides the No 1- ranked Algeria whom they meet in their opener on 19 January, Bafana Bafana will also lock horns with Senegal on 23 January and Ghana on 27 January.

Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba promised the nation that his team will do their best to win. As if words were not enough, he even shed a heartfelt tear.

Paul Way- Soccer is very unpredictable. As far as Bafana is concerned i don’t think they will make it to the final but there is a good chance for them to make it to the semi finals.
Tshepang Matoni- So far i am proud. They are on fire right now. Ten games and they had only two draws and the rest were wins. I will be supporting them all the way. No other country has my support.

Nicholas Zaal-Bafana Bafana will lose all games and finish last in the group. Ghana, Algeria and Senegal are all better than us and we do not have a chance.
Ashtyn Mackenzie- Bafana Bafana will do well. They will get out of the group stages with two draws and a win.
Jeanette Chabalala- Bafana is going to do very well but we have to admit that Group C is a devils group. Bafana will be competing against the best in Africa so they might lose on goal difference.
Lion Makgwan- I think there is hope for Bafana because they have been doing well lately. They have been very disappointing in the past but this time maybe we will finally prove our worth and win.
