‘Shrek’ comes alive on stage

WESTDENE — Pupils bring a popular fairytale to life while raising funds.

Pupils at the Orban School in Westdene were treated to a popular fairy tale on 27 June at The People’s Theatre.

The parent class representatives took the little ones to see Shrek to raise funds toward the upgrade of the school’s tuckshop.

Principal Liz van Tonder said the play was also a great way to get parents and pupils to socialise outside the school.

Pupils who celebrated their birthdays were also called up on stage to join in the magic, in true People’s Theatre style.
