Carolina Herrera (CH Pink) visits Helen Joseph Hospital

AUCKLAND PARK – Breast cancer activist Carolina Herrera and her daughter visit Helen Joseph Hospital to promote their CH Pink campaign in South Africa.

Well-known breast cancer activist Carolina Herrera and her daughter visited the Helen Joseph Hospital on 15 October to promote their CH Pink initiative.

The campaign was launched in 2013 together with the South African Breast Health Foundation.

According to their website, the Breast Health Foundation was established in April 2002 and serves as a way to educated the public about breast cancer.

It also provides an open forum where women can come forward with their problems.

According to the CH Pink media statement, the initiative, that was formerly called Support with a smile, provides care and support to South African women with breast cancer.

Through this campaign the Carolina Herrera brand has committed R5 million over a five-year period for local support.

“Don’t give up, you are not alone,” is the message Herrera shares with the public.

The statement further explained Herrera and her daughter have partnered with local organisations around the world to promote and grow breast cancer awareness.

According to the Gauteng Department of Health, Helen Joseph Hospital Breast Care Centre was established in 2005 to improve direct access to specialised breast care in Johannesburg and the centre manages 500 to 700 patients each month.
