Thief gets himself into deep water

WESTDENE –Swimming thief braves the cold waters to avoid arrest.

A runaway thief jumped into Westdene dam to evade his captors after he was caught stealing.

It was raining when the suspect was chased by security guards and the community to Westdene Dam on 21 April. At some point he decided his only escape was via the dam. Much to his dismay Sophiatown Police, community members and security guards were waiting on the shore.
