City Power is on site attending to the power outage in Melville.

A power outage caused major traffic jams in and around the suburb most of the morning.

City Power said there were two MV faults and they have to repair at least one of them to restore full supply. The teams are on site busy working on the problem. Another area that seems to be affected is Auckland Park.

According to the City Power tweets, 30 percent of the power has been restored and City Power asked the community to bear with them while they were working on restorations.
