Shots fired during business robbery at Cresta

CRESTA – Four suspects escaped with an undisclosed number of cell phones.

Police are on the hunt for four suspects involved in a business robbery at Cresta Shopping Centre this morning.

According to police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo, the armed suspects made their way into an Edgars Connect store and held up staff and customers.

“Armed with 9mm pistols, the suspects proceeded to take an undisclosed amount of cellphones,” said Masondo.

“When the suspects escaped, they fired two shots in the parking lot.

Nobody was injured during the incident and police are working hard to ensure they are apprehended.”
