UPDATE: Water restoration in Linden on schedule

LINDEN – Be prepared for the coming water interruption.

UPDATE: 06.00pm

Some residents within the specified suburbs are still without water.

Isaac Dhludhlu, Joburg Water spokesperson has confirmed that water restoration in Linden is on schedule and water is currently being pumped into the reservoir.

He explained that when water is restored, it unfortunately does not reach all homes at the same time. and it is not a quick process.

“Water gets to low lying homes quicker than it does to high level homes. Some residents will have water immediately and some won’t.”

Dhludhlu has requested all residents to be patient adding that some areas will only have water in the next 2 to 3 hours.

Temporary alternative sources of supply will be at the following locations:

  • Corner of End Road and Leopold Place
  • Corner of Bram Fischer Drive and 1st Avenue
  • Corner of Malibongwe Drive and Central Road.

Joburg Water is  unreachable at this stage.

More details on the restoration schedule will be published as soon as they become available.
