Young woman wants to keep dogs warm this winter
NORTHCLIFF – A young woman is passionate about dogs and needs your help.
A woman who is passionate about dogs is collecting donations for animals in shelters this winter.
Chiara Cohen (26) set herself the goal to collect 500 warm, fluffy, easy-to-wash blankets, but she has surpassed this now.
“I cannot bear the thought of dogs being cold in shelters in winter. So I have been collecting money that I use strictly to buy soft, washable warm blankets for shelters in Chamdor. My goal was initially to get 500 blankets this winter. I am so happy to say I have reached my goal and beyond and am still going,” said Cohen.

She said she collects donations through social media sites like Facebook and the response from people has been remarkable. “I post on as many community pages and other sites as I can. Without the support I have been getting, I couldn’t have done this without people who have been responsive. I wish I could save and help all the dogs in this world but I know that every bit helps.”
Cohen also works with a charity where she urges people to clean out their cupboards and donate whatever they can to children from the charity.
