Northcliff residents tell us why voting is important to them

NORTHCLIFF – Northcliff Melville Times journalist Neo Phashe spoke to residents outside of their voting stations today, and asked what changes they would like to see in their wards

Voting is a fundamental right in South Africa, and one that should not be taken lightly.

Northcliff Melville Times journalist Neo Phashe spoke to residents outside of their voting stations today, and asked what changes they would like to see in their wards – this is what they had to say…

CAMRY JACOBS: I voted today because we are the next generation and as the young we need our voices heard and we need to see change. Whoever you vote for keep that party accountable.
DULTON DE JONGH: It is important for young people to come out and vote because essentially the future is in our hands and we need to step up and make that change for our futures
JAMY-LEIGH Lee: What is really important in my ward is service delivery and this is the only top priority for me. I am looking at my party to do the right thing.
JOANIE WORT: I voted today to make a difference and the councillor we have in this ward is excellent and she works really hard and I keep to what I know. Everyone must look at the people who meant to do something for them and if they not doing that they should change.
