New bowlers play competition at Linden

Three teams from Linden Bowling Club finished in the top four at the recent Newbies competition.

A Johannesburg Bowling Association event, Lynne’s Leaders won the day, with local outfits Steve’s Stormers (second place) and Avril’s Angels (fourth spot) doing Linden proud.

The trips tournament saw 16 teams from different clubs show their mettle, with a total 48 players taking to the greens.

Only newer bowlers were allowed, and for Linden to perform so well is a good sign for the future of the club.
