
Abbotts College learner bags five distinctions.
The corridors of Abbotts College Northcliff were filled with laughter, excitement and celebrations on January 21, following the release of the National Senior Certificate results. The school was proud of the performances of both their full-time and part-time learners who recorded a 13% growth in their bachelor passes from 2021.
School principal Izak Stander said that ‘2021 was a hectic year due to the disruption caused by Covid-19 once again but we are very proud and happy that we got through it.
Stander believes that these learners are now ready to take on their next academic adventure and have core skills to be valuable employees or running their own businesses.

The school’s top learner for 2021 is Lucia Bolipombo who achieved five distinctions in English, mathematics, life orientation, accounting and computer applications technology. Cameron Kasambala, Miriam Reinecke and Keenan Singh got four distinctions each in French, mathematical literacy, life sciences and tourism; Afrikaans, mathematical literacy, history and tourism; and mathematical literacy, life orientation, business studies, life sciences, respectively. The school also applauded their most improved students in Bryn Pooley who improved on average with 16.2% and Ryan Watkins who improved on average with 24%.
