Police warns community of fraud

There has been a worrying spike in fraud cases being reported to Linden Police Station.

To help mitigate the chances of more in our community being scammed, the station has issued the following tips for all to use.

Here are tips by the station’s spokesperson Sergeant Takalani Sibiya:

• Research common scams and their warning signs
• Keep your personal information confidential
• Always change your passwords and pins
• Exercise caution when buying or selling online
• Always read the site’s privacy policies
• Try to resist the urge to buy online
• Always know who you dealing with.
