Paddles at the ready for provincial sprint race

EMMARENTIA – The Gauteng Canoe Union recently held a race that doubled as a schools league event.

Top racers of Dabulamanzi Canoe Club were selected to take part in the provincial sprint races at Victoria Lake Canoe Club hosted by Gauteng Canoe Union.

The event, which took place on February 5, was to provide an opportunity to paddlers for selection into the Gauteng team to represent the province in the upcoming South African Sprint Championship in Cape Town on April 23 to 25 at Lomond Dam.
