Local school collects 4 452 Easter eggs for children

Auckland Park Preparatory School learners organised a very successful Easter egg collection.

Auckland Park Preparatory School learners put together an Easter egg collection that saw 4 452 given to a non-governmental organisation.

The Grade 7 learners, Lucy Blades and Rachel Moultrie, who form part of the Johannesburg Mini Council (JMC) representatives, organised the Easter egg collection for the JMC.

The council is a non-governmental organisation that aims to improve communities by helping others.

According to the school’s Kate Becker, the eggs were distributed to over 100 different charities, mostly helping underprivileged children across Africa.

“A very big thank you to the Apps community who once again rose to the occasion, collecting an overwhelming number of 4 452 eggs.”
