Reddford House Northcliff took the opportunity to sing the praises of two of their own who recently achieved great success in their respective sporting codes. Dancer Jada Croll, and martial artist Kynan Attfield, showed their talent and proved their star power.
Jada, along with her dance partner, Caitlyn Nortje, placed first in the U16 category at the World Freestyle Championship held in Blackpool, UK, a win that ultimately made them champions. According to the school’s Toni Powell-Venter, this was a very auspicious win as it had them compete against dancers from across the world. “They represented South Africa with absolute pride! Jada received full South African colours and the official tracksuit,” said Powell-Venter.

She also explained that Jada also placed in the top nine for slow dance and in the top 20 in freestyle premier championships U16, an incredible feat considering she was up against 250 entrants in her age group.
Grade 8 learner Kynan Attfield earned his 1st Dan Black belt. “A truly special and well-deserved accomplishment. After an arduous nine-year journey of training, intensively culminating in the last six months, with a triumphant conclusion during a 24-hour karate challenge in October,” said Powell-Venter. She added, “The countless hours of hard work and commitment he poured into his training have culminated in this significant milestone and the school is so proud of him.”
