Surf Ski fun comes to Emmarentia

The High Altitude Surf Ski Championships recently took place at Dabulamanzi Canoe Club (Dabs) and paddlers had an epic day of racing under the glorious autumn sun.

Canoeists put their best paddles forward as they braved the rugged Emmarentia dam waters to get to finish line first. Waves were simulated on the usually quite waters, through the used of speed boats which makes for a thrilling experience.

From the looks of things, the event was both serious with a touch of awesome fun. After paddlers gave it their best on the waters, top performing ones were given certificates at an awards ceremony.
